The Official Tourism Ambassador for Miyagi is Aquatic Pokémon Lapras a cuddly face to the sober field of Diplomacy. After honoring the Lapras as the new official Tourism Ambassador it gave a speech and concluded it with a bow. Nothing can make your heart swirl like it. It is the cutest thing on the internet.

Not only Lapras can give an introductory speech but can carry itself well in formals. Miyagi Governor Yoshihiro Murai introduced Lapras as the Official Tourism Ambassador for Miyagi on July 8 by giving a formal speech. Lapras not only bowed in the most dignified way but carried a dapper tie around his neck and wore the medal like a pro.

Like any other ambassador the new ambassador mingled and posed with other attendees. He moved in and out of the conference with ease and confidence. Lapras has already started building new and good relations for the tourism industry. Everything went well with smooth functioning and appreciation. There was happiness in the conference and Lapras is proving its affinity with water already.

Miyagi is blessed with the most scenic destinations that include mountains parks and – of course – Matsushima Bay which is regarded as being the most breath-taking spot in Japan by many tourists. Nothing can be compared to its beauty and peace. Lapras not only helped after it became the Official Tourism Ambassador but also helped after the devastating tragedy in 2011.

After the devastating earthquake in 2011 rare Pokémon Lapras popped up in various affected areas and helped to drive up the numbers for the tourism industry. Therefore appointing Lapras as the new ambassador has meaning and purpose to it. Even Miyagi is a symbol of resilience and optimism during difficult times.
