21-Year-Old Breaks The World Record By Making The Largest Game Boy
The two companies were the strongest companies for 30 years and 40 years if game and watch series is included. But Nintendo gave them a full-on competition and was successful in capturing a fair share of the portable gaming market. The company had seen this major competition since 1989 from the release of original Game Boy to the success of 3DS. There were clear lines for handheld and home console games before Nintendo but it managed to blur those lines with the release of Switch.
Nintendo created a machine which is effective in both the ways. The launch of House of Mario was an absolute win for Nintendo. It was the most important and huge launch for the company. It not helped the company but allowed gamers to carry their games in their pockets. It managed to create a powerful and effective device having the capacity of a modern home gaming machine which is easy to carry as well.
While pocket-sized games were in the trend but this colorful twisty world someone decided to do the exact opposite of it. Belgian student Ilhan Unal built a video game having four shades of grey but who could utilize the space of your coffee table. One has to book a separate airplane ticket for the game if you decide to take it with you on a vacation. Ilhan’s love letter to the gaming world sure is oversized with 101 cm tall 62 cm wide and 20 cm deep but the 21-year-old holds the Guinness World Record for the Largest Game Boy in the world.

The game was designed in a week but it took a month to build it with a system link. You can now play a multiplayer game with your friends by just connecting the cable wire. The size is what gives you an edge and psychological pleasure over your opponent even if you have to press the buttons a little harder. Ilhan’s motivation and inspiration from the very beginning was to bring a smile on other’s faces. And by his game he was able to do it.
