According To The Flat Earth Society, This Is What Causes The Northern Lights
For those who don’t know who these homo-sapiens are, Flat-earthers are those who believe that our earth is actually not round (hence doesn’t have a north and south pole), there is no outer space and the sun and the moon revolves around us. They also believe that the border of our planet is surrounded by large walls of ice. That fact that is more bizarre is that there is a whole freakin’ society dedicated to this, I don’t know, something. That’s not even 10% of what theories they have. And now they have come up with an explanation regarding what Aurora AKA the northern and southern lights are.
According to Science and our beloved Wikipedia, “Aurora Borealis (The Northern lights) and Aurora australis (The southern lights) is a natural light display in the earth’s sky, predominantly seen in the high latitude regions. They are the result of disturbances in the magnetosphere caused by solar wind”. The various colors occur according to what the solar elements interact with and their movement depends on solar wind particle and magnetic field lines. Aurora lights are quite beautiful and a very popular tourist attraction.
But if the earth would’ve been flat, there wouldn’t be a magnetic field to create the natural and colorful lights. So, here’s what causes Auroras according to the flat earthers:
“Auroras are believed to be caused by charged high energy particles from the solar winds that are trapped within the magnetic field of the Earth. As these charged particles spiral back and forth along the lines of the magnetic field, they become visible nearest to the north and south magnetic poles where these magnetic lines become vertical and interact with the atmoplane of the Earth.
“The bright visually pleasing colors commonly associated with auroras are the result of electrons colliding with oxygen and nitrogen molecules in the Earth’s atmoplane. As these molecules become energized, then cool from their energized state, they emit actual light that can be seen by the naked human eye.
“Auroras, both the northern and southern lights, can most frequently and easily be seen during the winter months within a 2s500 km radius of the vertical magnetic field lines. This area is also known as the auroral zone.”
Don’t Google some of these words, they really don’t have any meaning.
