Brandon Phomvongsa inspired by Marvel’s Iron Man franchise has made a real-life Iron Man suit. Known as ‘Techmaster’ on social media, Phomvongsa has built the costume with a drop-down iron mask and a brilliant light on the chest that denotes the ARC reactor of Iron Man. With 195,000 followers on TikTok, Techmaster has received an enormous 2.5 million likes with this expressive work of his.
The costume designed by him has some imposing features that can even draw the attention of the non-Marvel fans. These features include rockets shooting off the shoulders, flames coming out of the hands and a built-in-electronic sledgehammer. As exciting as it sounds, this extraordinary replica might have been costing Brandon a fortune. He, therefore, has arranged a GoFundMe page for people to donate him some money so that he can keep working towards bettering this suit.
In the explanation of this online fundraiser, Phomvongsa told people how he has devoted the past 8 years of his life to this costume. He further added how he has made numerous changes in this suit in all these years as he gained more knowledge and understanding. He wants to add so much more to this costume for which he wants people to help him with the funds. He had made YouTube channels in the past but they didn’t really work for him. Hence, he decided to keep recording his work along the years and has almost recorded every moment of him working on the suit.
He even had to build a computer with 14 terabytes of storage so that he could store all the videos he had made of himself working on the suit. He’s so glad that people have liked his footage of the suit over the years. Brandon has a set target to reach $4,000 and last checked on August 24, he had raised a total of $1,250. One of his most famous videos was the one he had uploaded on August 12. This video’s a compilation of several clips, revealing the costume’s spectacular features and has been viewed by over 4.5 million people.
People showed their appreciation for another video of Brandon’s. It’s a video where he displays the suit’s magnificent built-in-power tool feature. One person even commented on this video saying that he keeps seeing Iron Man builds but Brandonhas been his favourite so far. Another person wrote that this work was real art.
