Well a couple did go through a similar situation. Apparently the mother wanted to name her son after her favorite film character which was later opposed by her soon-to-be father just after when they got aware of the fact that they were going to raise a little baby boy. Initially the pair had no idea about what they were going to name their child. Later when the big news was shared among their family members all of them started to come up with their own suggestions.

But as the mother already had thought of a name the couple didn’t really pay much heed to other’s ideas. And once the discussion was done again she disclosed the name to her husband claiming she wanted to name their child ‘Frodo’. While at the same time her husband was taken aback by not being aware of the fact that she had already made her mind without having mutual consent. On knowing the name he was antagonistic and refused his agreement for the name. Since she was very much adamant about her decision even she refused the same.

The guy was called ‘dictator’ after he refused the name. The name ’Frodo’ came from a movie character whom she admired the most. She went on explaining how she loved the name for it being so cool and different and she had it in mind ever since. Yet again her husband rejected the idea. She strongly felt that the movie was a popular one and so was the name. And probably that was also the reason the guy didn’t want to go ahead with that name.

He wanted to give his son his own identity and not attached to the character she was talking about. Following this things started to get more intense between the two. According to him their son was much more than a random film character and that decision should be taken with a lot more sincerity and both of them needed to have a mutual say and not just the mother. Irrespective of all the things being said she was still unswerving. Neither of the two was ready to settle down so eventually their stubbornness led to a major argument.

After hearing about it his wife’s sister insisted that a mother had 80% right to make decisions for her baby and he should stop stressing her out during her pregnancy as it could have deleterious effects on the baby. Feeling helpless the guy posted his experience on social media to know about people’s perspectives on his decision. And fortunately most of them supported his decision because in the end they are a couple and they should handle it like a couple only!
