Going through a few pictures of Tardis one day, Paul Foden felt a sudden urge to take on it. He had made models of Dalek, Cyberman and dog K9 before that. But it was going to be a life-changing experience. In fact, it was his biggest project. He went through the pictures and noted down the minute details. Then he went around looking for its suitable place. His garden came to his aid and he planned to set his dream-like thing there.

Paul looked for the things he would require for his project. He scrounged in the heap of scraps and discarded things. To his delight, he struck some of his gold there. But he had to go for a decent purchase for two items. Finally, he launched himself on his dream trail. Initially, he was not sure of the success of his pursuit. He kept himself updated with the elements of new and old series. It took thousands of pounds from his side.

The Tunstall (Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs.) resident worked hard for giving it a perfect shape. Finally, after 12 months’ consistent efforts, a 12 feet tall Tardis got gradually evolved in his garden. Not just the outer elements but he managed to match up the sound effects, control panel and electric lighting with the original one. It was just a twin of the original set up.

The fan who-worked for a property company could not just believe it. His 18-year-old son named Lee went crazy to see the humongous time machine standing in the garden. He was too a great fan of Time Lord. To share his joy with other Doctor Who fans, he uploaded the video of the interior of his Tardis. The fans out there could not take their eyes off it. The outer structure was a kind of hexagonal shed. Its roof was made of fiberglass in order to make the shed water-tight.

The 44-year-old man then worked on its final touch. His neighbors could not rein themselves from landing up at his garden. They returned back with a happy heart. According to Lee, his dad was brilliant at building things and had spent all his spare time doing it. He stressed the fact that the control panel was just similar to the original one. The place had allured some tourists too and they had paid a visit to the creation. The garden was gradually putting up the garbs of a tourist place.

The great builder had won millions of hearts with his awesome creation. His counterparts had got some place to cherish for the rest of their lives.
