Gaming March, 13, 2025

Fornite is available in 3 different modes that are Survival Battle Royale and Sandbox. Fortnite is now available on all the platforms such as Windows macOS Nintendo Switch PlayStation 4 Xbox One iOS Android.

Fortnite gained so much popularity among the youth of the world. It became an addiction and parents got worried about their children but with PlayVs they can no longer be accused of wasting time while playing the game for hours. PlayVs has partnered with Epic Games to bring esports league to play at the collegiate and high school level in which players can compete with other schools in the same way they can with other sports.

What is Esports? Esports are video games that are played in professional competitions having few major genres like fighting games first-person shooters (FPS) real-time strategy (RTS) or multiplayer online battle arena games (MOBA).

PlayVs launched in April of 2018 with the mission of bringing esports to high school just like other traditional sports like basketball or football. They also collaborated with NFHS(National family health survey) to organize these leagues. PlayVs were the first startup to score the partnership with Epic Games.

PlayVs can make the competitions accessible with almost no efforts on the part of competing schools. They make all the arrangements for the league matches. The player just has to sign up into PlayVs and they will be dropped in the scheduled match or details will be given for further matches. The organizers will provide statistics and insights directly from the match and these stats are available to players coaches fans and last but not least the recruiters. This will allow the people involved to see precisely what went down just like watching a sports game.

The competition will be played in teams of two. Organizations can submit as many teams as they like. The Top teams will be then be invited to the playoff with a chance to win a spot in the championship. The leagues and finals will be held this May. Epic Games and PlayVs have decided the Fortnite competition will be free to registered users.

Many schools and colleges have joined the waiting list to get a varsity esports team through PlayVs. More than 13000 schools are keen to participate in leagues. Registration for the first season closes on February 17 for high schools and February 24 for colleges and universities with the season set to officially kick off on March 2.
