Hideous 3D Model Depicts The Appearance Of Gamers In 20 Years

Gaming July, 12, 2025

After collecting data from global reports about what impact gaming has on a gamer’s lifestyle, researchers created a cautionary vision of Michael. By creating a 3D model, depicting the problems which an addict gamer could face, the researchers warned the gamers that they need to take better care of themselves. If they don’t then they might end up having varicose veins or Carpal Tunnel Syndrome within 20 years’ time. They might also have an indent in their skull, bald patches, hairy ears, obesity, eczema, Nintendo Arthritis or swollen ankles.

This study was conducted by a Canadian site called OnlineCasino.ca. A spokesperson for the same introduced Michael as a visual representation of the future gamer. She said that by being sleep deprived and dehydrated, a person may lack vitamin D, have digital eye strain and ‘Play Station Thumb’. These were just some of the physical implications which might occur by spending hours online, siting on a gaming chair, away from sunlight and any physical activity.

Video game addiction is now even recognized as a psychological disorder by the World Health Organization. To create this 3D model, researchers took help from the reports of WHO and other major health institutions. Not only did they warned the gamers about various diseases, they also recommended ways to avoid these issues like obesity, deficiencies and poor postures. They recommended various techniques like to exercise and stretch regularly. They suggested to take breaks in between to prevent the eyes from getting strained and to sit in a proper chair which has back support. They even told to eat healthy and stay hydrated. The full research can be read online on OnlineCasion.ca website.

Scientists also created a grotesque life-sized dummy, last year, to show how spending hours in the chair might affect the appearance of an office worker in 20 years. This mannequin was named Emma and was made by researchers after conducting interviews with more than 3000 employees who had health issues. The report was named The Work Colleague from The Future. The team urged the office goers to make some essential changes in their work environment. The most important thing that they advised was to take more breaks so that the staff moves around.

A team of experts from various fields like ergonomics, occupational health and professional well-being, along with Behavioral Futuristic William Higham, are ready to study the effects the office workplace is having on the heath of employees.
