Infinity Ward Enforced New Measures To Deal With Warzone Cheaters
The number of game manipulators and cheaters didn’t stop even after this. The count was higher than expected. These cheaters were mostly players using PC to play the game. This degraded the game playing experience for people using other gaming consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Players using other consoles other than PC were forced to turn off the Cross-matching feature to avoid the cheaters. This group of events made it difficult for legit PC players. They were also being categorized as cheaters because most of the cheaters were using PC. Manipulating game settings on a console was way trickier and it could be detected easily.
The game Infinity ward was working around the clock to weed out these hackers and cheaters and maintain fair gameplay all over. Even after much work was done still there was some scope of working on this situation. The game creators had launched some new guidelines and tough measures for the players. These rules were to be implemented then and were expected to show a great increase in cheaters players getting detected.
In a post shared on Twitter Infinity Wards confirmed that from that week onwards any player who would be reported as a suspected cheater would receive confirmation of getting banned from playing the game. The studio also implemented “additional dedicated security updates” which helped in the matchmaking so that the suspected cheaters had to play together. This ensured that they’re not ruining it for anybody who wanted to play fair.

Finally the studio had increased its resources across the various teams so that it could keep a better track and enforce the reports. They were also planning on getting a feature of “report a player- functionality” on part of both the kill- cam and spectate modes. That in particular was going to get out the fraud guys.
It was also worth noting that “Modern welfares” also suffered from the cheaters and these new features would be applied to this game too. But as a free play experience people were more likely to cheat in and this would have resulted in a risk of loss of access to the warzone. Every team hoped that these new features and tools proved to be effective and efficient enough in stamping out cheaters in the battle royale once and for all. Because who wouldn’t like it going back to playing on PS4 Xbox One and PC.
