As it is known the entire trilogy is a film adaptation of the books which has been shot all around New Zealand. And having seen all the films most of the people must be having New Zealand in their travel bucket list and would want to cover as many real-life locations as possible.

Akhil Suhas one of the biggest fans of the franchise decided to cover the middle Earth and show the world how beautiful and breathtaking it is in reality.

The traveler carried a Gandalf costume with him and took some amazing pictures on the locations. The 21-year-old stated that the fifth time he was watching the film he figured that New Zealand is most famous for two things- landscapes and Lord of the Rings trilogy. And this was exactly what inspired him to go to New Zealand and click pictures in Gandalf costume.

Akhil being a solo traveler could not decide who would dress up as Gandalf. He tried it himself by managing to click pictures using a tripod and timer shot but it did not work.

Ultimately he found tourists who would pose for him in the Gandalf costume. And this way he was able to pay attention to the minute details such as careful adjustment of the wizard’s hat.

In the 15000 kilometers journey he covered a lot of different places and yet managed to make the character look as incredible as it does on screen.

In the film other than the places which were put together digitally over 150 real locations were used including Mordor Hobbiton Rivendell and more. Nevertheless the film has turned out to be a highly effective tourism advert for New Zealand.

The LOTR world which has been created by Tolkien is so vast that it gives away possibilities of coming across more stories. And it is said that new series is under production and it is already the most expensive series ever. It is believed that the makers have spent over $250 million on it.

The official twitter account posted a picture of a map of middle earth saying “One Ring to rule them all One Ring to find them One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows Lie”. This was followed by another tweet saying “Welcome to the second age.”

It is for all the LOTR fans to know that something great awaits you.
