Love Is Blind Season 4 Reunion: Fans React to Delay and Make Hilarious Comments

Fiction January, 22, 2025

Fans of the hit Netflix show “Love Is Blind” had been eagerly anticipating the reunion special but their Sunday night plans were a little derailed when the show started later than expected. Despite the delay viewers were still ready and waiting with hilarious comments as they eagerly waited for the event to start.

“Love Is Blind” Season 4 premiered its weddings on Friday. Fans couldn't wait for the reunion special which was touted by Netflix to be recorded and streamed live on the platform at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday. Hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey the reunion special would address some of the burning questions viewers had after watching the Season 4 episodes. They would find out who is still married what happened behind the scenes and get answers for some of the most-talked-about scenes during the season.

Unfortunately the long-awaited reunion special started several minutes late causing some fans to fret. The production issues certainly didn't escape the attention of the viewers like HuffPost’s own N. (KaptivatingNat) who posted a funny tweet asking “Netflix…. #LoveIsBlindLIVE” with an accompanying image of an empty stage. Others like Danielle Brooks were frustrated as they waited around tweeting “@Netflix y’all might have to give us our $20 back for the month for being on CP time. #LoveIsBlindLIVE”

Some Twitter users even brought out their knives to poke fun at the mishap implying that Netflix had lied about the live stream's quality. Lauren tweeted "@netflix...so you lied" and included an edited clip of a character saying "you lied" on a TV show. The uproar continued online with Kathryn VanArendonk who tweeted "Does Netflix love is blind realize succession is on at 9?" poking fun at the streaming giant's mistake.

Even celebrities could not help but join in on the fun as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted “Someone call Lucia the seamstress to fix this. I believe in her” while sharing a clip of a woman sewing. Kemi another social media personality humorously implicated Roc Nation for the delay tweeting “I just know Roc Nation has something to do with this #LoveIsBlindLIVE”

Shelby another Twitter user also made fun of the moment by creating an image of a Netflix app that said “Netflix charging extra for services on one live event” alluding to how Netflix capitalizes on an event like this and not delivering.

However the wait was not fruitless as the “Love Is Blind” reunion finally went live but the event never went according to plan. Several fans tried to tune in to the event but all they saw was a waiting message saying "It's almost time! The live event will start soon." Despite the delay some viewers stayed tuned in to the 'elevator music' Netflix provided while showing a waiting message.

Even though the reunion show started later than expected Netflix stated that the show was previously successful with its new live event feature. Chris Rock hosted his live stand-up special “Selective Outrage” on March 4 which had made it to the U.S. top 10 for the streamer according to The Hollywood Reporter. While they were confident in the production of the reunion show the delay was an unexpected and unpleasant surprise for everyone involved.

Netflix eventually apologized for the delay stating that they were filming the reunion show and it would be on Netflix as soon as possible. The streaming giant thanked viewers for their patience and understanding. While fans did not appreciate the delay it would for sure not stop them from making a case for Season 5 of "Love Is Blind."

In conclusion fans of Love Is Blind were all set to watch its reunion special on Sunday night but were disappointed when the show started later than expected. The anxious wait led to hilarious comments on social media with witty humor from fans celebrities and even Netflix itself. As always the hit show never fails to deliver in keeping its followers hooked and entertained leaving fans asking for more.
