Kelly Hogan Painter a mother from somewhere in North Carolina updated her social media with a trip to the grocery store with an inventive face-covering. She was forced to wear a Buzz Light-year helmet as she was unable to find anything appropriate. She made her final choices of face mask as a Chewbacca mask or Buzz helmet and Buzz was practical.

The grocery run was so important as she was out of chicken nuggets and her child had sensory issues and didn’t eat anything except the nuggets. Painter’s pursuit for chicken nuggets was intensified dramatically because of the virus and CDC guidelines.

She also posted a video on her Facebook showing her walking towards the store and described a conversation with her husband about how she landed on the decision of wearing the helmet. She ended the video after saying “going in” by letting the face shield down.

The act of desperation became a habit in no time and she used the helmet to run more errands. The Buzz helmet had been to many places by then like McDonald’s Walmart gas station and many more destinations. Every chore she did wearing the helmet was posted online in the hope of making people smile in the time of crisis. Painter didn’t care that people were laughing at her or with her as long as they had a smile on their faces and her errands were being done.

After a few trips with the helmet on she became famous and she mentioned that people would stop her and take pictures with her or recorded videos while standing from a distance without her noticing. She also added that she did not care about people talking as long as they are smiling because of her during these tough times.

She remarked that it was crazy that people were laughing so hard about it. She thought of it as really pure as everybody was trying to share smiles and happiness by spreading little joys.

This time where everyone is forced to stay home and a wave of desolation all over the world some are trying to make people smile. The main motive is to stay safe stay healthy. We are in this together and have to help each other
