Pokémon Fans Get Back At PETA For Their Remarks On “Wooloo”

Gaming July, 12, 2025

When we hear about PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), we are reminded of their work towards the treatment of animals, animal testing and farming. However, they have been “expanding” their area of focus and stepped into the video game industry to pick holes in the way some of them are created.

This organization has been working towards giving a better life to animals for more than 40 years and their efforts have been recognized worldwide. But their intrusion in the video game industry has not given them the best of light.

The parody games created by PETA include Super Mario Bros., Super Meat Boy (the main character is made of meat, maybe!) and Cooking Mama. It seemed like they knew what they are getting themselves into. But they might have not expected the kind of response they received after they made a criticizing comment on the new addition in the Pokémon family.

This is not the first time that they have pulled it to pieces with this franchise. It’s been two decades since this has been happening. Obviously, PETA was not convinced with the idea of incorporating those creatures in the world of entertainment and gaming.

This time they attacked them after the introduction of the new Pokémon, Wooloo that featured in “Pokémon Sword and Shield”. If you look at this adorable pocket monster, you can’t help but get be impressed by its cuteness. On the other hand, Wooloo could not influence PETA.

The organization showed its disapproval on this by posting a picture of this creature on the Twitter page. They criticized the utilization of wool in the manufacturing of clothes.
Now, the fans could not just sit back and watch PETA attacking their favorite game and the little creatures. It seemed like they were prepared with all the memes to give a reply to PETA.

The posts by the entire fan base reflected their love for the video game and its characters. They are never ready to hear a word against them, no matter who is on the other side of the “meme war”.

If you ever decide to present your view that is against things around the world that have strong pillars in the form of fans standing for them, then think again before uploading the meme. You don’t want to be mocked!
