Video games are being re-designed so that a good message can be spread through it to millions at once. The British government is adding an official message from them in the video games which will urge the viewers to stay home for there safety. The safety message through video games is just another approach to reach millions in a short period. Every user using their consoles and PCs for the video games will be able to see the precautionary message.

According to the BBC three games have already started with the process of re-designing their video games. The list includes Candy Crush Saga Sniper Elite 4. and Dirt Rally 2.0. the game advertisement simply has a line saying something about “Stay home. Save lives”. Chair of games industry body TIGA Jason Kingsley said: “I reached out to DCMS [Department for Digital Culture Media and Sport] a few days ago to say is there anything we can do. A lot of people spend hundreds of hours in computer games. And in this case we thought we could help society by reminding people of their obligations to others.”

The games can be accessed free of cost with a PS4 or Play Station Plus for a month. Thus the government has ensured free membership to the users for a month. Mobile games such as Farm Heroes Saga and Candy Crush have a huge fan base and reach. One can utilize it properly for a better reason if one tries and the British government has stepped up in doing so. The DCMS has asked 2000 game companies to join hands with the British government in spreading the message.

Other than 230 digital advertising screens had been donated by Activision Blizzard to showcase all the information of the coronavirus. The gaming companies are not the only ones. Other companies are doing their part to help people and fight the battle against the virus. Companies such as Netflix YouTube and Amazon Prime have reduced their quality of the video so that they can decrease the load on the internet during this pandemic.

Facebook has taken upon itself to provide verified news to the users related to the coronavirus. Everyone is doing their part to win the battle. All you have to do is stay at home and stay safe.
