Burglar Stole Rare Comics From A Store And The Cost Of The Treasure Turns Out To Be $42,000

Fiction February, 05, 2025

This messy incident took place in Denver. In the wee hours of 27 May 2019 a burglar smashed the showcases and got hold of the most valuable comics of the store. The total loss came out to be $42000 and the case is being investigated.

The most important books in the collection were:

1. The first Iron Man comic book

2. An autographed Spider-Man comic book

3. A rare Avengers edition

The comic store updated about the theft on Facebook.

The status update read “Someone broke into Jason St. last night through one of the rail dock doors then stole 14 comics valued at $42000+ by smashing through a locked showcase. He cut himself in the process and we have a video recording. The person in the photo below is the only one who was in our store in the middle of the night. If you know him we would very much like to have him identified.”

Security footage shows that it wasn’t an easy theft. It left the thief with a cut on his hand or arm. He even tried to clean the blood spots with the help of toilet bowl cleaner and window cleaner.

The thief who took the comics and ran for his life has still not been found.
